বিধান চন্দ্র পাল নগর গবেষণা কেন্দ্রের (সিইউএস) নির্বাহী কমিটির একজন সক্রিয় সদস্য। একজন প্রতিশ্রুতিশীল সংস্কৃতিকর্মী ও গবেষক। দেশের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ব্যক্তিত্বদের নিয়ে তাঁর গবেষণাধর্মী প্রথম কাজ, সাক্ষাৎকারভিত্তিক সংকলন ’সেতুবন্ধন’ ২০১৩ সালে একুশে গ্রন্থমেলায় প্রকাশের পরপরই বেশ আলোড়ন তুলেছিল। পরিবেশ নিয়ে বিভিন্ন ধরনের কাজে ঘনিষ্ঠভাবে যুক্ত আছেন বিশ বছরেরও বেশে সময় ধরে। তিনি বাংলাদেশ পরিবেশ আন্দোলনের (বাপা) যুগ্ম সম্পাদক। এখন পর্যন্ত তাঁর লেখা গবেষণাগ্রন্থ ২টি, জীবনীরচনা ১টি, দেশে ও দেশের বাইরে থেকে সম্পাদিত গ্রন্থ ১০টি এবং ৭টি কবিতাগ্রন্থ প্রকাশিত হয়েছে। তাঁর দুটি কবিতাগ্রন্থ ইংরেজি ভাষায় অনূদিত হয়েছে এ ছাড়া এখন পর্যন্ত একক ও যৌথভাবে তাঁর ৫টি আবৃত্তি অ্যালবামও প্রকাশিত হয়েছে। তিনি দেশে ও দেশের বাইরে বিভিন্ন সামাজিক, সাংস্কৃতিক ও পরিবেশবাদী সংগঠনের সঙ্গেও সক্রিয়ভাবে যুক্ত।
